Evelyn Apartments

92 Maroondah Highway, Ringwood

Learning from the past to build for the future

The Evelyn Apartments is set on the bustling Maroondah Highway in Melbourne’s outer suburb of Ringwood. The property is situated in the heart of the community with access to the redeveloped Eastland shopping and dining precinct and upgraded Ringwood station.

BCENTRAL was engaged to construct the mixed-use development which consisted of apartments, offices and commercial spaces spanning seven floors. BCENTRAL worked in close consultation with all project stakeholders including Maroondah City Council, VicRoads, consultants and the broader community. This included the building undergoing stringent acoustic testing conducted by Acousticontrol.

The contemporary and sustainable building design by Idle Architecture Studio consists of vertical interlocking metal cladding, perforated panels, picture frame windows accentuated by black metal hoods, seamless transition between indoors and outdoors integrating the use of spotted gum timber and a flourishing vertical green wall spanning between floors. The sophisticated and sleek entry foyer incorporates the use of spotted gum, Xbond polished concrete and blackened steel.

It is a premier development which forms part of the Maroondah 2040 Community Vision which spans all aspects of community life in the area.
